‘Disaster: Day of Crisis’ actually coming out, but not in the US (yet?)
Nintendo has announced release dates for long-delayed action-horror title “Disaster: Day of Crisis” in both Europe (Oct.
- and Japan (Sept. 25), but not the United States. It isn’t even on Nintendo of America’s press site. What gives? Possibility 1: It is too close to hurricane season to release a game featuring “[the] terrorist organization SURGE and various natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and hurricanes,” and Nintendo doesn’t want to
Possibility 2: Nintendo doesn’t give a flying fuck about the US due to the shitty dollar, and is hoping they can release the game next year, where it might be worth more money.
Possibility 3: Nintendo thinks there are enough core gamer-type games this holiday in the States and doesn’t want to crowd out third parties.
Possibility 4: It is impossible to divine reason in the movements of a company making so goddamn much money off of things with “Wii” in their title that nothing else matters.
