Capcom Announces One Sort-Of New Game Out Of Three for Wii
So, remember the REmake? Get ready for the Wiimake. Capcom dropped a press release in my inbox today just to let y’all know that three Resident Evil games are on their way to the Wii this year. Wii versions of Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero are going to hit this year with Resident Evil: The Darkness Chronicles, quite possibly the worst-named game in the series yet. RE:TDC is a pseudo-sequel to Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, which itself was a spiritual successor to the Resident Evil: Survivor games… Listen, I’m not very excited about this either, but I don’t want to be a starving person throwing a pie made from apples and razor blades in the trash. Some of my metaphors hit, some miss; I’ll let you judge. Resident Evil 4 kind of makes sense with Wii controls, but how are Re(Wii)Make and RE:0 going to play on the Wii? Are they just going to be a version of the game we can play on the Wii? Don’t we already have that with, you know, the Gamecube versions? Anyway, the press release is after the break for those interested. I wasn’t!
