Nintendo Hires Scott Moffitt
Nintendo of America has announced the hiring of a new executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.
Starting on May 9, Scott Moffitt, former SVP of Henkel Consumer Goods, as well as a VP of SoBe Beverage company, will assume responsibility for sales and marketing activities for Nintendo throughout North America. Moffitt will work from Nintendo’s Redwood City, CA office, under the supervision of Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. Reggie, on the hiring, remarked “Scott Moffitt makes a marvelous addition to the Nintendo team. His expertise in driving growth will be a terrific asset as we build momentum for the Nintendo 3DS system and continue to reach new audiences for the Wii console. He’s a great guy. Just super neat.” In his 20 years of experience, Moffitt saw the creation of such notable beverages as “Mountain Dew Code Red” and “Amp Energy Drinks.” He also helped with product development and brand reposition for Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist, Aquafina and Mug Old Fashioned Root Beer. He assumes the position formerly held by Cammie Dunaway, who has moved on to be the Global Marketing Head for Kidzania.
