Bless Me Bagpipes, Capcom Announces Duck Tales Remastered for the Wii U!

Well I’m sure no one can say they saw this thing coming and I honestly can’t imagine a better case scenario outside of just putting the original damn game on the Virtual Console (fingers crossed). Today’s surprise announcement revealed the following details about the upcoming Capcom/Disney Interactive release. 1. This HD remake of the NES classic is being developed by Wayforward Technologies. The studio responsible for pretty much every good looking sprite based sidescroller released in the past decade (Shantae, Contra 4, A Boy and His Blob, Mighty Switch Force, etc.) 2. The layout of the original game is being used essentially as a foundation for the team to branch out and expand on. 3. Some of the cast from the old television series will be lending their vocal talents to the project. 4. I need to change my pants.

Summer 2013. 15 bucks. What more do you need to know?
